Borders and Immigration Questions

I believe that for some years government has encouraged immigration whilst saying the opposite.Increasing population gives an illusion of growth.Unfortunately we are accepting some people who benefit society but many who do not,,,sick,lazy, criminal etc which we have to put up with and support. Which party is going to really stop it[not just say they will],and how can it be done whilst subject to EU rules?

My husband and I would both like an answer to this question as we feel that none of the 3 parties have actually answered this thoroughly yet. As regards immigration into the uk much has been mentioned about reducing numbers from non european countries, but what about immigration from other european countries which is causing a huge problem and is also keeping wages low and jobs harder to find?
