My Priorities

"It has been a difficult choice to stand as an Independent as I could have sat with a magnifying glass and seen who is likely to win but this is a matter of principal.

"What we in the UK used to call 'my word' is no longer applicable today with shift and spin to suit and match the latest opinion poll such as with the 10p tax, the 42 day detention for suspected terrorists, whether the Iraq Inquiry should be held in private, cutting university tuition fees and providing free child care.

"We are in the worst economic crises for 60 years and we can't afford to replace Trident when here, in Ealing and Acton, the main hospital is threatened with the closure of three key departments and we need £5 billion to help save hospitals.

"Unemployment is rising and in Ealing I see qualified students who are not likely to get university places and this leads to joblessness and homelessness. The choice in this election is not between Labour, Conservatives or Liberal Democrats but between three basic values."

"Regardless of age, gender, ethnic background, I'm well placed to represent this constituency."

My Experience

I am a Ugandan-born British citizen and former Parliamentary Officer (2000-2010).  I am campaigning on vex issue of asylum and immigration in the context of corrupt politics, community cohesion, public services and spending cuts.
