My Priorities
Out of the Pirate Party UK's policies outlined in the manifesto (http://ppuk.it/manifesto2010) the issues I feel most passionate about are copyright & patent law reform, ending excessive surveillence, getting open source software into UK schools and improving the standard of computing education in UK schools.
All other non-Pirate issues I will remain neutral on until I have spoken to my constituents. I will vote on what the people I represent feel passionate about as that is my job.
My Experience

162 Pirate Party UK chose to vote on whether I should be a candidate or not. 156 voted yes, 1 voted no and 5 abstained. I am very proud to represent the Pirate Party UK in our first election campaign.
I am standing in the election because I, like many in Bury North, am sick to death of politicians abusing their position and their expenses claims. We have been in national news due to all the wrong reasons, David Chaytor being charged with theft.
Having heard many young people and working class people saying they are sick of politicians, MPs, how they behave and generally how the country is being run, I ask them to stand up and be heard and join a political party. Nobody did, so I did. I will be representing the youth of Bury North and the working class of Bury North because I fit into both categories; I'm 18 (19 by the election) and I have a day-to-day job.
Voting for me will be voting for someone who is equal to you. Voting for me will be voting for someone who understands you. Voting for me is someone who will listen to your issues and thrive to resolve them.
