BAFTA nominee Sean Langan is a British journalist and documentary filmmaker who has filmed from Latin America to Iraq to Zimbabwe, and most recently Afghanistan where he made the award winning films 'Fighting the Taliban' and 'Meeting the Taliban' in 2007. In March 2008, while working on a film for Channel 4, Sean Langan was kidnapped in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region by a group associated with the Taliban after trying to make contact with Al-Qaeda's second in command. He was freed three months later.

Given that this Government now accepts that there is a link between UK foreign policy and terrorist attacks in this country, and given that the Bush administration's foreign policies in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan - which Blair's Government supported almost without question - have been described as a "colossal failure" by the U.S Congress, do the parties agree that it is now time for parliament to scrutinize British foreign policy more closely?
