My Experience

Dr Derek Chase, since 1985 a General Practitioner in Westminster, woke up in 2009 to the environmental crisis and left the Cavendish Health Centre to focus on it.

'No previous generation has faced the issues we do today which are not being adequately addressed. Our use of resources is unsustainable and people feel powerless. We need sustainable green local services and to build up healthy communities. Our actions will determine our children’s and their children’s lives. The time is now. We cannot delay.'

• Commit to 10:10 - reduce our carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. Feel better and be better off
• Invest in low carbon transport – bicycle lanes, scooter parking, public transport
• Promote subsidised insulation and solar panels.
• Better access to quality local services – health, schools, post offices
