Do you agree with the abolition of the 10p rate of income tax? Scottish National Party - 19th Dec, 2008 The SNP officially back the call to reverse the abolition of the 10p tax rate. The Labour Party's decision to abolish the starting rate means that taxes have increased for hundreds of thousands of Scottish tax payers who previously paid only the 10% rate and for over 680,000 Scots households.
